Apple Fitness Plus just three big upgrades to take Peloton

Three new features will be added to Apple Fitness Plus, making workouts more comprehensive for those who often forget about the fitness app.

The upgrade will launch on Monday (April 19) and will add special workouts for pregnant and older adults. It will also add a number of new workouts for beginners. According to Apple, this is intended to help users feel confident in their abilities, regardless of their current fitness level.

The workouts for pregnancy include 10 different options that focus on strength, core, and "mindful cool down." Each lasts 10 minutes and is designed to accommodate users of different fitness levels at any stage of pregnancy. They can be done alone or as part of Fitness Plus' weekly studio workout sessions.

Workouts for older adults are designed to help users stay active regardless of age. Here, the emphasis is on strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and mobility. This one is also 10 minutes in length and can be done alone or with other fitness workouts.

Beginners will have more access to yoga, strength, and HIIT workouts. The emphasis is on those who are just starting to exercise, those who have taken some time off but want to start exercising again, and those who consider themselves beginners in all aspects of fitness. They are all designed to be low-impact and easy to follow, so anyone can easily incorporate basic exercises.

In addition to this, Apple Fitness has many small updates that everyone can enjoy. These include a new yoga and HIIT trainer and a new "Time to Walk" episode starring Jane Fonda. Fonda's episode is tied to Earth Day (April 22) and will focus on the actress confronting her fears and taking action in the fight against climate change.

The Apple Fitness Plus subscription is $10 per month or $80 per year and can be shared by a family of six. It is also available for three months free with the purchase of an Apple Watch Series 3 or later, and can be bundled with other Apple services as part of the Apple One Premier Plan to save money.
