Fully Rated: Sonos Roam is the new smart speaker to beat

Future's "Totally Rated" show is back, showcasing the coolest technology of the week. In the latest episode, senior reporter Kate Kozuch discusses the Sonos Roam portable speaker.

The episode also features Gamesradar's Josh West and Oddworld: Also, TechRadar's Tom Bedford and Tom's Guide's Jordan Palmer discuss the Nubia RedMagic 6 gaming phone. [Also, Tom Bedford of TechRadar and Jordan Palmer of Tom's Guide discuss the Nubia RedMagic 6 gaming phone.

Matthew Bolton of T3 added, "The only minor drawback is the battery life, which at 10 hours is more in the realm of "spend a day at the park or beach" rather than "take it camping for a long weekend and use it forever."

The continued difficulty in obtaining PS5s thanks to the global supply shortage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has brought major game releases to a standstill in small increments. Fortunately, PlayStation Plus subscribers were able to jump on "Oddworld: Soul Storm," a "2.9D" platformer that tells the story of protagonist Abe, who has escaped from alien enslavement.

"Oddworld: Soulstorm" is a fun, if slightly dated, 2.5D platformer, and if you yearn for a modern game with a cool '90s aesthetic, you'll absolutely love this," Gamesradar's Josh West said.

Luckily, the game is multi-platform, available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Finally, TechRadar's Tom Bedford talked about the budget-conscious Nubia RedMagic 6 gaming phone. If your only interest is gaming, the Nubia Red Magic is great. It has the best specs, a high screen refresh rate, and easy-to-use tactile triggers."

Our phone editor Jordan Palmer also jumped on the show to share his thoughts:

"The RedMagic 6 is actually quite good, camera performance aside, with many hardware and software features for the low price of $599, well below rival gaming smartphones."
