Last October, Apple announced the iPhone 12 mini along with the iPhone 12 lineup. However, the device is likely to be short-lived and will reportedly be phased out next year when the iPhone 13 is launched.

Apple's prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that the 2022 iPhone 14 rollout will consist of four models, none of which will be the iPhone 14 mini (via MacRumors).

This is undoubtedly due to the poor sales of the iPhone 12 mini. Additionally, the iPhone SE offered a smaller form factor at a fraction of the price of the iPhone 12 mini, making it somewhat superfluous.

According to Kuo, two low-end iPhone 14 models, 6.1" and 6.7", will be available in 2022. The high-end iPhone 13 will be two models, also 6.1" and 6.7".

The iPhone 12 series consists of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. mini has had poor battery life since its launch, Touch screen issues have also been reported. [Despite the iPhone 12 mini's poor sales, the iPhone 13 mini is likely to be introduced this year. iPhone 13 mini should have a fighting chance since the iPhone SE will not be released until 2021. But if Kuo is right, it will not save the iPhone 13 mini, which could be released next year.

Apple plans to skip this year and launch the iPhone SE 3 in 2022, and who knows if iPhone 13 mini sales will influence their decision regarding the "mini" line, as long as they continue to offer a smaller, cheaper alternative with the SE. it will be hard to justify the higher price tag of a future iPhone mini.
