Was the new Captain America snapped to Thanos? Here's what Marvel says

Much of "Falcon and the Winter Soldier" has revolved around influences from the last "blip" in "The Avengers": but has new Captain America John Walker bit the dust?

We saw on Wandervision that Monica Rambeau was sent away, as were the stars of Disney Plus' second Marvel series, but whether the man who took over Captain America's mantle took a five-year vacation remains a mystery.

Editor's note: For those who have not yet seen "Falcon" and "The Winter Soldier," there are some spoilers.

Actor Wyatt Russell, who plays John Walker, was also concerned about this and contacted the powers that be at Marvel and received a very amusing answer. Russell told CinemaBlend: "I don't know! It's a good question, but I don't know. I'd have to ask Zoe (Negelhout) or one of the producers. Every time I ask a question like that, she says, 'Don't ask too many questions, Wyatt. You'll just confuse me. And I'm like, 'All right! ' And I was like, 'Okay!'"

.

Of course, being erased from existence can have a considerable impact on one's psychological wellbeing. We saw Monica struggle to cope with the death of her mother, which occurred while she was blipping. Is Walker's unstable state perhaps due to the six months he spent non-existent?

Marvel clearly does not give Wyatt (or fans desperate to get any information) a clear answer, but reading between the lines, we can assume that Walker did not skip.

In the second episode of Falcon and Winter Soldier, we learn that Walker is a decorated soldier who probably earned quite a few stripes in the post-snap era. Not to mention that Walker was absent for five years and probably would have been mentioned at some point.

The new Captain America has bigger concerns than whether he was sent away. After the psychic Carli, leader of the Flagsmashers, kills his partner in episode 4, Walker is thinking about revenge. With only two episodes left in the series, things are definitely heating up.

The final episode, "Falcon and the Winter Soldier," will be available exclusively on Disney Plus this Friday, April 16, with the finale a week later on April 23.
