Latest news on Jupiter's Legacy release date, trailer, cast and Netflix show

Netflix has released the first live-action trailer for "Jupiter's Legacy," which was teased in February with a CGI and voiceover spot. The show will be available soon, and first impressions are that it looks to be a wild ride.

"Jupiter's Legacy" is based on a comic book series by Mark Millar, a Scottish-born graphic novelist who has created such films as "Kick-Ass" and "Kingsman: The Secret Service." Miller is also well known for his work on DC Comics' Superman: Red Sun and other DC Comics titles. At Marvel, he wrote The Ultimates, an alternate reality reworking of The Avengers.

Miller is full of energy on Twitter and is clearly very excited to see what people make of the show and seems pleased with Netflix's treatment of it; Netflix's press materials state, "Mark Miller and Frank Quitely's graphic novel based on the novel "Jupiter's Legacy," is an epic superhero drama that navigates the complex dynamics of family, power, and loyalty over the course of several decades.

The series is a family-based show, with a second generation of superheroes looking to preserve the legacy of their parents' success.

Netflix will release all eight episodes of "Jupiter's Legacy" worldwide on May 7. Episode names include:

The title of episode 7 appears to be Latin for "All for One."

Netflix released the official trailer for Season 1 of Jupiter's Legacy on April 7, 2021, three months before the episode's release. In the video, the family's patriarch, Sheldon Sampson, aka superhero "Utopian," expresses concern about his children's readiness to continue his work. And those children seem a little worried about the long shadow cast by their dear old father.

The show's main cast includes Josh Duhamel of "Las Vegas" and Leslie Bibb of "The Lost Husband." The rest of the cast is as follows: [15
