Loki Trailer sends prank maker on time travel mission to fix reality

Reality has fangs. In the new Loki trailer, the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) is tasked with repairing the reality he broke when he picked up the Tesseract and ran off with it in The Avengers: Endgame

Of course, this is Loki: ...... In the process, well, can we trust him not to cause mischief?

Loki is a Marvel Disney Plus series that starts June 11, following "The Falcon" and "The Winter Soldier". The ripple effect of stealing the Tesseract gets him into trouble with the Time Variation Authority. However, TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) thinks Loki can help set things right again.

The new trailer is a further development of the teaser released at Disney Investor Day in December. The new trailer expands on the teaser released at Disney Investor Day in December, showing the detained Loki arriving at TVA, where he is subjected to the organization's mind-boggling bureaucracy.

From there, Mobius employs "variants" to fix the broken reality he has caused. The agent says, "I need your unique Loki perspective."

The trailer features flashes of Loki traveling through different timelines, wielding a blade. Some locations are devastated and have an apocalyptic aspect.

But as noted, this is Loki's story. Can he really be trusted? As Mobius points out, Loki has literally stabbed people dozens of times. With a devilish grin on his face, he says, "I won't do it again!" He promises.

Loki also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sofia Di Martino, Ummi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant, and will consist of six episodes, with a second season already in development, the first not a one-off limited event (like "Wander Vision") Marvel Disney Plus series.

While I believed "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" was perfectly set up for multiple seasons, "Loki" may work even better as a serial drama. Loki is the Time Police? Yes.
