Apple WWDC2021 Date Announced - Here's when the iPhone13 software will appear

Apple has announced the dates for its annual WWDC developers conference.

The Worldwide Developers Conference, revealed in an Apple Newsroom post, will take place from June 7 through June 11 and will use the same all-online format that debuted at last year's conference.

The Worldwide Developers Conference, or WWDC for short, is where developers working on various parts of the Apple ecosystem come together to exchange knowledge. More important to the average user, however, is the WWDC keynote, where Apple announces the latest features of its operating system.

Almost all of the talks that make up WWDC are intended for attendees only. It is not the most consumer-friendly conference, as it is a developer conference with jargon that is too advanced for the average Apple fan. However, the keynotes can always be watched live, and we'll let you know how to watch them when Apple announces the necessary details.

The stars of WWDC are always the various members of Apple's software family. This year, Apple is expected to focus on iOS 15 (and the related iPadOS 15), macOS 12, watchOS 8, and tvOS 15.

iOS 15 remains largely a mystery at this point. The current iOS 14 introduced major changes including widgets on the home screen, App Library, and App Clips. At this point, however, the focus is on the upcoming iOS 14.5 update, and there have not been as many major rumors about iOS 15 as there have been so far.

macOS 12, watchOS 8, and tvOS 15 are similar. So far, there have been no leaks of new features or upgrades for these operating systems. It is safe to assume that macOS, at least, will have a new subtitle associated with the landmark, after Big Sur and Catalina, which Apple has used since 2013.

WWDC traditionally does not focus on hardware, but Apple may still have some news to share about the device: at WWDC 2020, Apple Silicon and how Apple is moving the Mac from Intel chips to its own M1 chip We learned about the The year before that, the Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR debuted, and in 2018 most of the Mac line was revamped with the refresh of the iPad Pro and the launch of the now discontinued HomePod.

There are currently whispers of a new iPad Pro, iMac, and 16-inch MacBook Pro, some (if not all) of which could be announced at Apple's rumored April event. Whatever Apple does not announce in the spring may take the WWDC stage.
