Hundreds of Fixes coming to Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 Patch — What to Expect here

The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 have released a full list of patch notes in anticipation of the upcoming release of patch 1.2. In addition to changes to gameplay, there are likely to be hundreds of bug fixes.

According to CD Projekt RED, this major update will be available "in the coming days," but no details were given as to when exactly it will be released. Among the changes are support for AMD graphics cards for ray tracing, as well as crash-related bug fixes that have plagued the game since its launch.

According to the developers, gamers can expect hundreds of fixes to the game. This includes changes to allow police to respond more quickly to player crimes, as well as essential changes to vehicle interactions.

Gamers playing Cyberpunk 2077 on previous generation consoles will be glad to see that the developers have taken the time to address console-specific issues. This includes optimizing memory handling on Xbox, resolving rendering issues on PlayStation 4, and fixing "multiple issues with random game freezes."

The second patch for Cyberpunk 2077 was announced on Monday, March 29, just in time for CD Projekt RED's previous promise to release the patch "in late March."

This particular patch was originally scheduled to be released in February 2021, but was delayed following a ransomware attack that hit the company when unidentified actors gained access to its network and collected restricted data.

The cyber attack occurred shortly after CD Projekt Red released its first patch in January 2021, which ironically introduced a game-destroying bug into the game's main quest.

Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 has been plagued by crashes and various bugs since its launch and has been branded a "flop." This was highlighted by the fact that the developers initially delayed the game's release by eight months, highlighting the need for more time to release a complete game.

Following the catastrophic launch, a barrage of refunds, and criticism from fans, CD Project RED issued an apology and announced a schedule of patch updates and free DLC through 2022. The developer did not state how much DLC players can expect, but according to information recently obtained by a data enthusiast called PricklyAssassin from the game's Epic Games Store page, CD Projekt RED plans to release 10 pieces of DLC revealed.

While we wait for the second patch for Cyberpunk 2077 to arrive, here are some of the best PC games that won't crash your system.
