Google Pixel5a design may just have leaked — Thanks to this accessory

A new Google Pixel 5a leak has been making the rounds, and this is due to the sighting of a screen protector.

The design of this screen protector matches perfectly with the previously leaked rendered image of the phone. This is a good indication that both may be legitimate.

The screen protector suggests that the Pixel 5a will have a thin bezel around the phone screen, while the bottom bezel will be slightly thicker for the charging port and speaker.

A small cutout hole can be seen in the upper left corner of the screen protector. This would, of course, be for the front-facing camera. Again, this is consistent with the leaked renderings, and this gives us more confidence in what the Pixel 5a will actually look like.

Another detail worth noting on this screen protector is the small but noticeable cutout placed along the top bezel. This would almost certainly be for the earpiece at the top of the device.

The Pixel 5a is expected to be the next phone to be released by Google, with some leaks suggesting a June 11 release date. Its existence has not been much of a secret for some time now, with the Andriod 12 Developer Preview recently mentioning the name.

Design-wise, the phone is expected to take cues from the Pixel 4a 5G, and this screen protector would further support that idea. Currently, it is believed to offer a 6.2" OLED display with full HD resolution.

It is also reported to feature dual rear cameras, similar to the Pixel 4a 5G. Expect to learn more about Google's latest entry-level Pixel in the coming weeks as we get closer to the rumored June release date.

We are definitely excited to see more details on the Pixel 5a, as the Pixel 4a has been at the top of our best budget phones list for a while now. If the accessories are now in the hands of leakers, an official announcement is likely imminent.
