You can't find a PS5 refill — but you're ready with this amazing 4K projector

Optoma has announced its 2021 projectors: the Optoma UHD35 and Optoma UHD38, both successors to the Optoma UHD30, which was released last year and received a good reception.

These projectors appear to be especially good for next-generation gaming thanks to their "Enhanced Gaming Mode," which offers a response time of 8.9ms when playing at 1080p at 120HZ and 16.7ms when increasing resolution to 4K.

Additionally, these projectors can reach a maximum screen size of about 300 inches. If you have always wanted to play games on a screen the size of your living room wall, these projectors can make that dream a reality.

Neither projector is inferior when it comes to bulb brightness: the UHD38 can achieve up to 4,000 ANSI lumens, while the UHD35 is slightly lower at 3,600. In addition, the UHD38 and UHD35 are HDR10 compatible, and for those few who have 3D Blu-ray, they also support 3D Blu-ray.

Of course, as one might expect, both come with a rather expensive price tag: the Optoma UHD35 is $1,299 and the Optoma UHD38 is a bit higher at $1,399, but for a difference of only $100, we definitely recommend the UHD38.

Therefore, these projectors are a more substantial investment than 4K displays, which can be purchased for around $250 these days. However, this should not come as a surprise to anyone looking to purchase a projector, as projectors are generally more expensive than TVs.

The other bad news is that both models use only HDMI 2.0 instead of HDMI 2.1, so neither supports 4K/120fps. For this reason, the Optoma line is not the most future-proof machine, and the included bulbs will only last approximately 15,000 hours before needing to be replaced.

Nevertheless, these projectors offer a premium way to play games on the PS5 and Xbox Series X
