"Spider-Man: Can't Go Home" will need a tissue. At least, that's what Tom Holland hints at in a new interview with British GQ. We've embedded a clip below so you can watch him walk a very tense tightrope about Spider-Man 3 without revealing too much.

In discussing the Apple TV Plus movie "Cherry," Holland briefly talked about how he cried during a scene in the upcoming Spider-Man movie. He did not spoil it (for once), but his words could be taken to suggest that something about the movie was so sad that he had no trouble turning on the waterworks.

"Sometimes crying is really easy, sometimes it's really hard. The other day I was doing a scene from 'Spider-Man 3' and I was able to flip the switch. This is amazing. If I could do this every time, it would be great.' And sometimes I try to cry, but I can't.'"

What makes Peter Parker so sad in the story that Tom Holland can't cry easily? Well, since this is the third chapter of a trilogy, we figure that no one is safe from the most dangerous weapon of the writer's pen, and MJ (Zendaya), Ned (Jacob Batalon), and Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) could be in real danger or even worse doomed.

Since "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is strongly rumored to feature other characters from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's "Spider-Man" films, Peter's emotions may be consumed by seeing something happen to a different version of himself

Later in the interview, Holland describes his usual tips for getting himself into an emotional state to cry. He has a playlist for tears, sometimes reflects on his past, and sometimes has an emotional conversation with someone close to him.

Holland later admitted that he cries "all the time" during movies. Some of us (myself included) are easily moved to tears when a film gives us reason to be sentimental. I even find it very relatable.
