How to watch the Falcon and Winter Soldier at Disney Plus: Release date and time, episodes, trailers and more

Are you ready to see Falcon and the Winter Soldier? Yes, Marvel fans, Wander Vision is just the beginning of the Avengers' home invasion. The second Marvel show on Disney Plus will feature Sam and Bucky performing traditional Marvel movie action on the small screen (while we wait for Black Widow on the big screen).

Oh, and don't expect two episodes ahead of time, as we got with WandaVision. The last time we saw Falcon and the Winter Soldier was when they were standing by the pond at the end of The Avengers: Endgame. There, Captain America handed the iconic shield to Sam (Anthony Mackie), and Bucky practically knew it was about to happen. In the eyes of the government, however, the heroes did not appear to be the actual heirs to Cap's title.

The leaked series of details seem to indicate that the federal government does not want Sam to be the new Cap. Instead, a new character "U.S. Agent" will be introduced to the MCU. I'm not saying he's H.Y.D.R.A., but something is off. Emily VanCamp (as Sharon Carter) and Daniel Brühl (as Baron Helmut Zero) also reappear in the MCU.

However, one of the early reviews suggests that we are not even seeing anything close to the entire cast, because someone we don't expect is joining the series. No, not Mephistopheles.

Here's everything you need to know about how to watch "Falcon" and "Winter Soldier" on Disney Plus.

"The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" will be available exclusively on Disney Plus. The first episode will be available on Friday, March 19 at 3 a.m. ET.

Disney Plus is in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, so it will not be difficult to access.

In the final trailer for the show, Sam has a bit of fun during a backyard shooting exercise with Cap's shield. And while the overall focus of the trailer sees him lingering on Steve Rogers and the mantle he didn't inherit, the biggest news about the trailer is that it shows off how cool the Falcon looks in the air.

"Falcon and the Winter Soldier" will be shorter than "Wander Vision," but only in episodes. Kevin Feige has said that "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" is six episodes long at six hours ("Wanda Vision" is nine episodes long at about the same time)

Early reactions to "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" have been positive.

Mike Ryan of Uproxx said, "I watched the first episode of FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER. So far so good, can't say much after watching one episode, but I'm a big fan of Falcon so I'm glad this exists. There are also some characters that convinced me "Oh, this is what the series is all about."

Josh Horowitz of MTV News tweeted, "Can I just say I watched the first episode of #Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In the last 45 minutes, these two characters have probably grown more than they have in the previous 10 films. There are moments of scale and "what it's really like to be a superhero." I'm in.

Collider's Steven Weintraub said, "The first episode of #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier is action-packed, which is what you expect to see in an MCU movie. But the best parts for me were the quieter scenes where Bucky confronts his past and Falcon tries to figure out life after his overthrow. Very satisfying.

Peter Sciretta of Slashfilm tweeted, "The first episode of 'Falcon and the Winter Soldier' feels much more like a big Marvel movie than 'Wander Vision' (not an accusation). The action screen at the beginning feels like a huge MCU action sequence (not a TV fight) and the story feels like it has important MCU consequences. "

Jacob Hall, also of Slashfilm, said, "If 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' is going to be a fun action-entertainment film with a Marvel worldview, the first episode is certainly promising. However, considering the talent behind the camera, I suspect/hope for a wild left turn."
