The new Netflix feature will save you from Snyder Cut Long Movies

Netflix is constantly investing in making its content more selective, and the new "movies under 90 minutes" category is intended to reduce scrolling and encourage more viewing.

As this viral meme proves, many people are of the opinion that movies are too long these days. This new Netflix category addresses this problem by bringing together only movies from Netflix's library that can be watched in an hour and a half or less.

The four-hour Snyder cut of "Justice League," due out this week, may push our limits, but we definitely appreciate a feature film. Sometimes shorter is simply better.

Netflix confirmed the new category in a tweet, also showing a list of potential 90-minute feature films, including Oscar contender "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," comedy classic "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," and family film "Space Jam," which will get a sequel this year.

The category features films and documentaries of all genres and includes a mix of both Netflix originals and third-party films licensed by the service, with the only requirement being that they be 90 minutes or less.

Unfortunately, the category is currently only available in the UK, so subscribers worldwide must scroll through the streaming service's vast catalog of movies to find 90-minute features.

However, Netflix often tests new features and categories in one market and then rolls them out to multiple regions once they are tested and approved. We expect this feature to get the go-ahead for further expansion soon, as sometimes we are not in the mood to watch a 3+ hour epic like "The Irishman."
