Snyder Cut early reviews say it's "the best DC movie of all time" — what the heck does it mean?

Snyder Cut early reviews say it's "the best DC movie of all time" — what the heck does it mean?

This Thursday, March 18, the Snyder cut of "Justice League" will be released on HBO Max. Of course, the biggest question we have is whether this version of the film is worth watching.

Some critics and fans have already gotten to see four hours of the film this weekend. While the reviews have yet to come out, viewers are making their feelings known now that the social media embargo has been lifted. Fortunately for Zack Snyder, the consensus seems very positive. Some have even called it Warner Bros.' "best movie ever."

As noted below, full reviews will be available later today, but so far, the overall positive tone from those who have had early access is good.

So don't read into Snyder Cut expecting something completely new. It's the same movie, but there should be many changes. In particular, Zack Snyder has said that only about an hour was cut from the theatrical version.

And more good news: there's a bathroom break built in.

The film may not be perfect, but it is improving greatly from the theatrical release version.

Of course, many tweets call the Snyder Cut a great film. And that does not seem to refer only to the running time. But that is not necessarily as a criticism.

Of course, critics are not uniformly praising the film. Some do not like the film, while others do not quite understand the excitement expressed by the rest of the audience.

Certainly the Snyder cut does not seem perfect. The general idea of the film is the same as the 2017 theatrical version, which is very long and probably won't win over any serious naysayers. However, from what I hear, Snyder Cut is on a much grander scale, with massive improvements to both the characters and their motivations.

Moreover, this time the villain does not look like a scaly man in a strange helmet. He is not the only villain the League must confront.

Zack Znyder's review of "Justice League" will be up later today. So stay tuned to the Internet if you want more information on why this movie is what it is. The film opens March 18 on HBO Max and other international services.
