Florida State's sophomore center Barca Koprivica recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, both career highs; UNC's loss marks only the second time in history that a North Carolina team will not play in the ACC Championship Game.

As for Georgia Tech, after beating Miami 70-66 on Thursday night, Friday will be an unexpected day off. The Yellow Jackets were scheduled to face ACC regular season champion No. 16 Virginia in the semifinals, but Virginia was forced out of the tournament after testing positive for COVID. Coincidentally, Florida State University was also forced to withdraw from the tournament for the same reason its first round opponent, Duke, was forced to withdraw and cancel its match.

Georgia Tech finished the regular season ranked fourth in the ACC with a 16-8 record. They will enter Saturday on a seven-game winning streak. The Yellow Jackets have been led all year by conference Player of the Year Moses Wright, who set team highs in scoring (17.5 ppg) and rebounding (8 rpg) this season.

The teams split their regular season matchups, with the home team winning by 10 or more points each time. Florida State finished the regular season with a 16-5 record and second place in the ACC. The Seminoles are 4-point favorites at 149.5 over/under.
