Oculusクエスト2を'こんにちはFacebook'コマンドとして実績の特徴

Oculus Quest 2 users can now operate their VR devices hands-free thanks to new voice commands. The optional upgrade allows users to use the phrase "Hey Facebook" to operate hands-free, whereas previously they had to double-press a button on the Oculus controller before giving a command.

As detailed in the blog post, users can enable this setting in the experimental feature settings, making it easier to take screenshots, make casts, and group with friends Facebook will be rolling out this feature to all Quest 2 users and will later roll it out to all Quest devices.

According to a Facebook blog post, this new feature will allow for a more seamless VR experience. For example, when playing Beat Saber, users can say "Hey Facebook, start casting" and their gameplay will begin streaming to their friends. Previously, the game would have to be paused, interrupting the experience.

Other commands include "Hey Facebook, take a screenshot" and "Hey Facebook, show me who's online."

For those concerned about privacy, Facebook states that voice commands will not work if the microphone is turned off, the headset is in sleep mode, or the power is off.

Users can also delete voice command activity, so nosy family members cannot steal embarrassing searches.

Over the past week, Facebook has been actively offering new features for Quest 2 users. These include an upgrade to Guardian Mode, which prevents you from bumping into walls and marking chairs and couches. Facebook also approved a virtual desktop streaming app, providing functionality for users.

The virtual desktop app is particularly important, allowing users to stream PC-only VR games to the Oculus Quest 2 headset. The app also allows users to browse the Internet and watch movies, essentially porting the desktop experience to the face. The app is not free, however, and users must pay $19.99.
