iMac2021 just leaked in 5 colors - and get ready for the Mac Pro Mini

If this iMac 2021 leak is true, we're over the moon. Apparently Apple is going back to its roots and extending the color options seen on the iPad Air 2020.

This comes from Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech. In this video, he also reveals the latest Pro Mac, the Mac Pro mini, which will shake up Apple's entire design lineup with the newfound freedom of ditching Intel now that Apple has switched to Apple Silicon.

Prosser shared renderings from Concept Creator based on what he has heard about Apple's current prototype designs. They look a bit blockier than the iMac 2020, but the big news as you can see is that the iPad Air's blue, green, rose gold, silver, and space gray colors are in Apple's plans, indicating to us that the iPad Air is in the works.

He notes that the ports seen on the back are just based on what we've seen so far.

The big caveat here is that these are just prototypes. They are ones that Apple has yet to get their hands on. That said, they look great enough to produce, reintroducing a color to the iMac lineup. It's been a while since we talked about the "Bondi Blue" color, but the iMac debuted in a variety of colors.

Prosser also clarified that the rumored smaller Mac Pro (Mac Pro mini) is going to "look almost like the old [Power Mac] G4 Cubes" and not just a smaller Mac Pro, as previously leaked.

Prosser described the smaller Mac Pro as being like three to four Mac Minis stacked on top of each other. His specific words were "a compute unit on the bottom and a big heat sink on top."

This new Mac Pro may show how wild and strange Apple can get now that it has done away with the rules of how Intel-based systems must be designed. It will be interesting to see what Apple announces at its next event.
