Mighty Ducks: Game Changer Cast, Release Date, Trailer and more

Ready to get screwed? The Mighty Ducks: Gordon Bombay is back to coach the kids as the new team leader. This time, however, the Ducks are not as good on the ice.

Expect to see a lot of familiar faces, but you'll likely get to know a whole new team. After all, when an inferior team thrives for too long, they can become as nasty as D2's Team Iceland.

Not sure where to look? Mighty Ducks: Game Changers will soon air on Disney Plus. This series is not a reboot, but a revival and sequel to the "Mighty Ducks" movie.

As announced in the Disney Plus spring and summer schedule, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers debuts on March 26. Episodes will debut the following Friday.

This is one week after "The Falcon" and "The Winter Soldier" and about two months before season two of "High School Musical: The Musical Series.

The state of youth hockey in modern Minnesota is great, as long as you're a blade whiz; in Game Changers, the Mighty Ducks are now a big-money team, a competitive team at every turn. That means there's no room for kids who aren't already prodigious skaters. And after 12-year-old Evan is fired from the team, his mother, Alex, goes looking for the right coach to start a new team.

Familiar names Emilio Estevez (Gordon Bombay) and Lauren Graham (Alex Morrow) lead the series. The rest of the cast consists of relatively unknowns.

While there is no certainty that Joshua Jackson and other previous Ducks will appear in the series, there is hope; as reported by Us Weekly, co-creator Stephen Brill said at TCA, "I've talked to Josh for years in developing this, and he's part of the family and part of the group with everyone else," which suggests that a return is definitely a possibility.
