New iPad Pro2021 with Mini LED display just confirmed with new leak

Major new features of the iPad Pro 2021 are almost confirmed. Another source has revealed that Apple is preparing a long-rumored new screen for the next high-end iPad.

Rumors of a mini-LED iPad have been buzzing the Internet since last summer. The latest information comes from supply chain news site DigiTimes, which reports that "Ennostar to start production of miniLED BLUs soon reportedly for Apple." If rumors of an iPad Pro 2021 at Apple's spring event are true, production will begin soon.

Ennostar is a Taiwanese technology company that produces a variety of components, including chips, displays, semiconductors, lighting, and even packaging; according to DigiTimes, Ennostar will begin production of miniLED displays "in Q1 2021 end or in the second quarter."

Ennostar's website breathes life into the prospect of mini-LED panels, which would be a significant improvement over the LCD panels that Apple currently uses.

If the mini-LED rumors are true, this could be Apple's best chance to convince shoppers to invest in an expensive tablet. Mini LED panels will use smaller LEDs to deliver a better contrast ratio, truer black tones, and higher brightness.

Aside from these changes, the next iPad Pro is expected to be very similar to existing models. It may be slightly thicker to accommodate the new display technology.

There is talk of a mini LED display in the new MacBook Pro model, but recent rumors have focused on the iPad Pro first.

Apple could also announce a successor to the A12Z Apple Silicon or replace it with the faster M1 chip found in the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac mini.
