Wanda Vision Episode 7 Release Date: When to Watch at Disney Plus

As the release date for WandaVision Episode 7 approaches, everyone is transforming into one big Modern Family. As a new sneak peek clip reveals, the Marvel Disney Plus series is heading into the 2010s and paying homage to Modern Family, ABC's hit comedy that aired from 2009 to 2020.

As noted in the recap of Wander Vision episode 6, life in and around Westview is becoming increasingly dangerous. The final three episodes of the season, each about an hour long, will reflect the heightened stakes and drama.

The series centers on a couple of Avengers, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), aka Scarlet Witch, and her android/AI hybrid Vision (Paul Bettany). A grieving Wanda uses her powers to "resurrect" Vision, who died in Avengers: Infinity War, and build a shiny, happy suburban life in Westview, New Jersey. Their lives are depicted in classic sitcom style, but as the decades pass, the laugh track fades and reality intrudes.

Outside the Westview bubble, they are watched by S.W.O.R.D. and other law enforcement agencies. Monica Rambo, FBI agent Jimmy Wu, and physicist Dr. Darcy Lewis monitor Wanda Vision, as we do.

Here's everything you need to know about how and when to watch WandaVision episode 7.

WandaVision Episode 7 was released today (Friday, February 19) at 3:00 AM ET.

Episode 7 is directed by Matt Shakman (who directed the entire season). The script was written by Cameron Squires.

However, airtime was (eventually) not longer than usual: episode 7 of WandaVision was 37 minutes long, not the hour that director Matt Shakman had hoped for when he told TVLine that the entire series was about 6 hours long. This could mean that the last two episodes will be slightly longer or simply an extra-long finale.

Disney Plus released a sneak peek clip of "Wander Vision" episode 7, which was completely inspired by "Modern Family". The music and visual gags are similar. In the clip, Wanda wakes up and recalls how fear and anger led her to expand the boundaries of "the false world we've created." And when the twins come to complain, Mom declares that she just wants to rest her eyes. A day of self-care at Westview.

Wanda and Vision move to the town of Westview in the 50s (the tone is very Dick Van Dyke Show). They meet a nosy neighbor (Kathryn Hahn) and have an important last-minute dinner with the boss. During that dinner, however, things go awry when the couple can't answer a basic question about their life before moving to this town. When the boss chokes on his food, Wanda orders Vision to help him. Everything then returns to normal.

After the show-in-show "credits" play, we see that it is playing on a monitor with the S.W.O.R.D. logo. However, in the MCU, it stands for Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division.

At the magic show, he accidentally reveals his ability, but Wanda uses her powers to hide it. At home, the two witness a strange beekeeper emerging from a manhole in the street. Wanda says no, and time rewinds. Wanda suddenly becomes pregnant and everything changes from black and white to color.

WandaVision Episode 3: "Now in Color"

Wanda and Vision are very colorful and wear very 70s costumes in a setting reminiscent of The Partridge Family and The Brady Bunch. When a doctor visits their home and officially declares Wanda pregnant, the couple sets up the nursery and begins thinking of baby names. Wanda's pregnancy progresses rapidly, and in just a few days she is ready to give birth. Vision runs to find a doctor, and Geraldine helps Wanda give birth. But later, when Wanda mentions her twin, Pietro, and Geraldine mentions Ultron, Wanda banishes her from the sitcom Westview. (Read the synopsis of "Wanda Vision" Episode 3.)

In order to retrieve Monica, Jimmy calls in astrophysicist Dr. Darcy Lewis, who discovers that Westview is broadcasting a television signal. Norm freaks out about real life before Vision can get him back into character; when S.W.O.R.D. sends a drone into Westview, an enraged Wanda appears and warns Acting Director Hayward to leave her alone. When she returns, Vision confronts her over the truth about the town and its residents. Their quarrel is interrupted by the sudden arrival of a visitor: Pietro Maximoff, Wanda's dead twin brother. Wanda Vision Episode 6: "All New Halloween Spooktacular."

Wanda, Vision and the twins move into the late 1990s and early 2000s, in a style reminiscent of Malcolm-in-the-Middle. Vision lies that he cannot participate in the family outing because he has a neighborhood watch patrol, but in reality he is exploring the outer edges of Westview. Wanda and her brother Pietro trick-or-treat Billy and Tommy. He asks her about the birth of Westview. Meanwhile, outside of town, Acting S.W. Director Tyler Hayward kicks out Monica, Jimmy, and Darcy, who question his tactics. They find a way to hack into S.W.O.R.D.'s system, and Monica and Jimmy leave to meet with her contact who can get them back into Westview's bubble. During a disturbing encounter with Agnes, Vision learns that he is dead. He approaches the perimeter of Westview, but leaving the bubble proves fatal for him. Informed of his predicament by his son, Wanda uses her powers to expand Westview's boundaries and call in the S.W.O.R.D. camp.
