YouTube TV is just one of many streaming services that will raise prices in 2020. And in 2021, YouTube TV will likely give users more reasons to spend more money.

According to a new report, YouTube TV is trying to beat its main competitors, Hulu's Live TV and Sling TV's 4K streaming. And this is not the only major new feature coming to the streaming service.

In an interview with Fast Company, YouTube product chief Neal Mohan said that 4K streaming, along with an unlimited simultaneous stream limit and the ability to store videos on devices for offline viewing, are among the upcoming He noted that it will be one of several features in the add-on package.

When will this add-on be available? How much will it cost, Mohan declined to elaborate. But he noted that YouTube TV is trying to stay ahead of the competition in other ways, and that viewers "have come to expect YouTube TV to be a pioneer in terms of product innovation, so my team is focused on that."

Of these features, 4K may be the most attractive, but there is a catch. Spectators could not watch this year's Super Bowl in 4K.

This problem can actually be seen on Fubo TV, which only offers 4K for select events and is currently in beta. Looking at the upcoming 4K streaming schedule, viewers will be able to get a clearer picture quality at the NCAA Men's Basketball Big East Tournament and some NASCAR events.

The most interesting feature for us is the unlimited simultaneous stream limit. We assume that YouTube TV is developing anti-piracy tools to prevent this feature from being abused. It is not hard to imagine hordes of friends sharing the same account.

What about offline viewing? It would definitely come in handy as more time is spent outside the home and on the road. Back at the office, one could save programs for the commute.
