These Galaxy S23 hands-on photos just spoiled fully unpacked by Samsung

Taken by Reddit user Suckmyn00dle (opens in new tab) and shared on the r/Samsung subreddit (via Dohyun Kim (opens in new tab)) and Twitter leaker DylanXitton, Samsung's new Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra hands-on images have leaked. And just one day before the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the phones are believed to debut.

While there is no guarantee that these are real phones, or that they are functional if they are, they certainly look like it, given the leaks, including a hands-on of the previous Galaxy S23 Ultra model DylanXitton's images are apparently Chilean The images were apparently taken inside a mobile carrier store, making the leak more convincing.

Starting from the back of the phone, we can see that the cameras embedded in the back panel are arranged in a different way than on the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus. These should be exactly the same cameras as on the Galaxy S22, but the selfie camera on the front will likely use a 12MP sensor instead of a 10MP sensor.

The phone is decorated in metallic green, purple, and cream colors. This is consistent with the rumored Galaxy S23 colors of Botanic Green, Mystic Lilac, and Cotton Flower. [There are no obvious changes to the design or camera layout of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, maintaining the look of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which first introduced this design; the S23 Ultra will feature the new selfie camera that the two smaller S23 models have, and the S22 Ultra is rumored to feature an upgraded 200MP main camera that will deliver even higher resolution images than the 108MP camera on the S22 Ultra.

On the display side of the phone, the Galaxy S23 looks almost identical to the Galaxy S22, with a flat display and polished metal edges. The Galaxy S23 Ultra's display is, in theory, curved and slightly flatter than the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but it is hard to see the difference here; according to a big hint from the manufacturer of Gorilla Glass, these screens are Gorilla Glass Victus 2 will cover them, which should give the new Samsungs better protection from scratches and drop damage.

Inside, rumors say that Samsung will use a new customized version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship-grade chipset tuned specifically for the Galaxy S23. The basic and Plus models may also feature a larger battery.

With Galaxy Unpacked coming tomorrow, we hope that all the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra rumors we have been tracking will prove correct. We will bring you news, first impressions, and last-minute leaks tomorrow at 1pm ET, 10am ET, and 6pm ET.
