These titles are likely to return to another streaming service or be picked up in the coming months. But there is someone's guess when and where. In the meantime, put your subscription to work and watch (or re-watch) these 7 starting movies, including blockbuster comedies, cult classic satirical horror films and documentaries about musicals that were not intended to have a lot of audiences.

Here's what to watch before leaving Netflix and Hulu in 2023/6.

I'm not usually much for war movies, but Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winning World War II-era drama had me on the edge of my seat. Dunkirk is a fictional story set amid the very real events of the 1940 evacuation of allied soldiers from beaches in northern France. After a surprise attack leaves them surrounded by invading Nazi German troops, they are isolated and forced to retreat to the beach of Dunkirk, with all hope of rescue soon evaporating. Scores of British civilians will change when you leap into action to save soldiers using any boat available.

Rather than following a linear narrative, Dunkirk alternates between three different periods and groups of characters between battle and rescue. And despite being a war movie, it does not remain a more gruesome element of the fight. It struck me more like a movie thriller than a typical war movie.

In 1991, Bret Easton Ellis's novel American Psycho shocked readers with a gory description of Yuppie's double life as a serial killer. 9 years later, Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, The Machinist) did the same in this cult film adaptation.

Patrick Bateman is a wealthy New York expert by day and a psychopath with a desire for blood by night. The ending of the American psycho is notoriously ambiguous, leaving a lot to the viewer to decide what actually happened and what will only happen in Bateman's mind. Its true meaning has been the subject of debate among many fans to this day.

To be honest, I wasn't interested in this remake of Stephen King's classic horror novel when it was first announced. I was overwhelmed by the first It adaptation, except for Tim Curry's performance as Pennywise in the terrifying supernatural clown, which was, of course, symbolic. But in my opinion I did 180 after catching a take on bill Skarsgård's character in the trailer.

His performance is truly unsettling, with creepy voice work and facial quirks that nail the sense of a creepy valley. The film also thrives thanks to an excellent cast of child actors, in which Jaden Martell plays Bill Dembra and Sofia Lilith (a sharp object) plays Beverly Marsh, who steals the show.

The Bridesmaids is a hilarious, smartly written comedy about how awkward female friendships can be.. Annie (Kristen Wigg) is excited about the engagement of her best friend Lillian (Maya Rudolph) and is honored to be the maid of honor. Unfortunately, it could not come at a worse time.

Annie's life is a mess; she had to close the door of a failed bakery and was recently dumped by her boyfriend. The maid of honor duty can be expensive, and she is broken. Still, she is determined to do right by Lillian, but she grows resentful of another bridesmaid, the wealthy and seemingly perfect Helen (Rose Byrne). Annie snaps and the drama unfolds, followed by Hijink.

Adapted from Stephen King's 1980 novel of the same name, Mist follows a group of survivors who take refuge in a grocery store after a mysterious fog envelops the town. It soon becomes clear that something deadly lurks outside, but as fear and superstition grow into something more sinister, the most dangerous threat of all

This sci・fi horror thriller is directed by Frank Darabon, who is no stranger to bringing King's work successfully to the big screen. Darabont oversaw both the Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption. The foggy ending is there in the best twist in horror and will definitely rock you. I remember seeing it when it first came out and just stunned and horrified the theater.

Tom Cruise may be best known for high・octane thrillers like mission: Impossible and Top Gun, but his performance on romcom Jerry Maguire is one of the most cited roles to date 1. Written and directed by Cameron Crowe, Cruise plays the titular sports agent as he manages the career of his star client (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and his budding relationship with Lenny Zellweger's character.

The film begins after Maguire has an epiphany that prompts him to write a mission statement about everything that is wrong with his profession and how to fix it. 1 below is a hybrid of sports drama, romcom antics and a study of endearing characters, all because when he presents this to his colleagues, naively hoping that they will accept his new worldview, he is promptly fired and starts his own company.

Jerry Maguire produced some popular quotes, such as "Show me the money."It is often mentioned as 'Hi' and it became the best sports video.

Bathtubs Over Broadway is a strange and hilarious world of industrial musicals known as corporate-commissioned song and dance pieces from the Golden Age of American capitalism

following comedy writer Steve Young and a late show with David Letterman in the 90s. While scouring vinyl records for the album, he first stumbled on a vague and dismal genre. His discovery of a musical sponsored and produced by General Motors leads to decades of obsession.

Diving into its history, Young tracked the singers and writers who worked on some of these shows and featured songs like "Diesel Dazzle," "Who Else But Whirlpool," and "22Slices Of Bread."He will also interview a small but dedicated community of collectors who are working to preserve these limited edition records for posterity. This is a quirky but definitely pious tour down one of Broadway's forgotten alleys.
