OnePlus Fold Specs Leaked on larger displays than Galaxy Z Fold5 and Google Pixel Fold

OnePlus Fold Specs Leaked on larger displays than Galaxy Z Fold5 and Google Pixel Fold

Rumored OnePlus Fold specs may make devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Pixel Fold tremble.

Perhaps the most interesting of the OnePlus Fold details provided by OnLeaks and MySmartPrice is that the foldable will feature a 7.8-inch inner display with a 2K, 120Hz OLED display and an outer 6.3-inch 120 Hz OLED display, the company claims. This makes the OnePlus Fold one of the largest foldable phones on the market.

The Pixel Fold has a 7.6" internal display augmented by a 5.8" cover screen; the Galaxy Z Fold's internal screen is also 7.6" and its external screen is 6.2". Leaked information suggests that the OnePlus Fold will have larger panels on both the inside and outside, and the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to rival the size of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, so at least for widely available foldable phones, the unannounced OnePlus device will remain the size king. (The Honor Magic Vs is still larger at 7.9" and 6.45" wide when opened and closed, but it is not available in the U.S.)

There are more impressive rumors about the OnePlus Fold's specs besides the screen on the back of the OnePlus foldable, said to have two 48MP cameras covering wide and ultra-wide. No word on the zoom level of these telephoto cameras.

As for the front-facing camera, it is leaked that there will be a 32MP camera on the outer display and a 20MP camera on the inside, with both cameras housed in a punch hole cutout. The cutout is centered on the outer screen, but appears to be placed in the left corner of the inner one.

All of these cameras are supposed to be Hasselblad-tuned, like the OnePlus 11 and Oppo Find N2, as OnePlus' flagship phones are becoming better camera phones year after year with the help of Hasselblad, and the company We are very excited to see what the foldable will look like.

The OnePlus Fold will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will ship with Android 13, as expected for premium Android phones in 2023. Other leaked specs suggest 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. Even more impressive is the 4,800mAh battery and 67W charging, which puts the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Pixel Fold ahead of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in both capacity and speed.

When rumors of OnePlus' first foldable emerged, it was suggested that the OnePlus Fold (or OnePlus V Fold as some called it) was a slightly improved version of Oppo's Find N foldable. (OnePlus and Oppo are partners.) However, OnePlus seems to be going its own way with its first foldable device.

Oppo's latest book-style foldable, the Find N2, is quite small, offering only 7.4-inch and 5.5-inch displays, while the Find N2 Flip is a clamshell foldable. Based on the specs, it does not appear that either will be changed to the OnePlus Fold.

As seen in recent leak-based renders, OnePlus has also adopted a unique design. The renders show the OnePlus Fold using a circular camera bump, similar to that seen on the OnePlus 11, to house the rear camera.

While the design and specs remain rumored, the OnePlus foldable phone is real according to the company and will appear this year (as early as August). If the final device delivers these leaked specs, it could be one of the best folding phones currently on sale. However, there is a huge gap between excellent specs and usability, and the OnePlus Fold will have to cross it.

If the OnePlus Fold sounds expensive and complicated to you, here's what OnePlus has confirmed about the upcoming, less expensive Nord 3.
