The OnePlus 12 is expected to arrive by the end of this year, which will likely reveal all the fascinating details of the new model. Until then, we will have to rely on rumors, but the latest rumors promise many details about the OnePlus 12's battery and camera capabilities.

OnePlus' new flagship slab now appears in a Chinese regulatory filing (via Digital Chat Station) that seems to confirm some of the phone's specs. They include the same 100W wired charging as the OnePlus 11, the return of 50W wireless charging, and a 5,400mAh battery (up from 5,000mAh).

These specs have been rumored for some time, but their inclusion in an official regulatory document gives them even more legitimacy. In other words, it is quite possible that the rumors were true.

This is not the only OnePlus 12 news to emerge in the past few days; OnePlus itself is a common source of pre-launch details and has already confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a new Sony Lytia camera sensor. This is a stacked sensor similar to the one on the OnePlus Open. This design stacks pixels to create more space and capture more light, resulting in cleaner, brighter photos with less risk of overexposure.

Details of the sensor on the OnePlus 12 are unknown, but given that it is described as "new," it is probably another upgraded sensor; given how much we liked the OnePlus Open's camera, aside from its weak low-light performance it bodes well that the OnePlus 12 will adopt similar technology.

It is currently unclear what kind of resolution we can expect from the OnePlus 12. Earlier rumors said it would feature a half-inch sized 50MP Sony IMX966 sensor, but that does not appear to be the case.

Sample photos were posted on Chinese social media by Li Jie Louis, president of OnePlus in China. Until we get a chance to test the camera ourselves, we will not know exactly how it performs under different conditions, but it looks pretty good.

The OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in China by the end of the year, with an international launch in early 2024. So we don't have to wait long to see what OnePlus has in store for us.
