Season 2 of Invincible has officially been released; Amazon does not always adhere to its scheduled release schedule, and like Gen V earlier this year, Invincible arrived a few hours earlier than expected. And this is a win for fans, as they haven't had a decent episode in over two years.

Created by Robert Kirkman of "The Walking Dead" fame, "Invincible" existed as a comic book (fun fact: "Invincible" was published first), but it was a breath of fresh air for many of us with superhero fatigue. At first glance, "Invincible" may seem like a traditional animated superhero adventure, but it is anything but. [And while Amazon Prime Video has other unorthodox comic-based animated features such as "The Boys" and "Gen V," "Invincible" is not a caricature of superheroes like those series. In the US, viewers can watch the premiere of Invincible season 2 on Amazon Prime Video right now.

Episode 2 is scheduled to premiere on Friday, November 10 at 12am ET / 9pm PT (November 9) / 5am BST / 2pm AEST. However, you should check back the night before (Thursday, Nov. 9) at approximately 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. BST. Episode 1 dropped early, and the following episodes are expected to do the same this month.

Season 2 will be delivered in two parts. Part 1 will be 4 episodes, starting with episode 1, with a new episode dropping every Friday. Part 2 will also consist of four episodes and is scheduled for 2024, but no definite release date has been set yet.

Season 2 of "Invincible" will begin not long after the end of Season 1, judging from the trailer. Earth is still reeling from Omniman's betrayal, and so is the half-man, half-beast hero Mark Grayson, a.k.a. Invincible. Mark is trying to get his life back on track after learning that his father is a supervillain instead of a superhero, but things don't seem to be going according to plan.

If the surprises of Season 1 were enough to keep viewers on their toes, "Invincible" Season 2 doesn't seem to disappoint either.
