7 Best 100% Netflix Movies on Rotten Tomatoes

It is not easy to get critics to agree. Even the most revered masterpieces usually end up with only a few dissenting opinions on Rotten Tomatoes, a website that aggregates reviews. Thus, it is rare for a film to earn a 100% perfect "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes and receive unanimous praise.

Often, such films are hidden masterpieces that critics have discovered but that the larger audience does not necessarily know about. Netflix's best films, which received a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, range in genre and tone, from low-budget dramas to effects-laden horror. What they all have in common is that they have been recognized for their value by the people who make their living evaluating movies. That's more than enough reason to stream these five films right now.

The horror in "His House" comes from an unexpected ghost that haunts a couple moving into a new house, but really begins long before that. Sope Diris and Ummi Mosaku play a couple fleeing the dangers of war in South Sudan. Their journey to England was also a dangerous one, and their young daughter did not survive.

The couple is treated with barely veiled contempt as refugees, and when they are finally given a place to live, it is a dirty, damaged house that is haunted. The nature of supernatural existence is a bit more complex, and the filmmakers tie it to the guilt and trauma of leaving their war-torn homeland behind. His House is effectively eerie, using paranormal visions to comment on the equally catastrophic horrors of reality.

You don't need to see the first "Creep" to enjoy this sequel. This time, he hires struggling blogger Sarah (Desiree Akavan), who initially doesn't believe him when he admits to being a serial killer and says she'll let him live if he records her life story.

Like the first "Creep," in which director Patrick Blythe appeared as the serial killer's victim, the sequel is essentially a found footage film with only two characters, and Duplass and Akavan have a playful chemistry that suits the off-kilter story. Although the plot is nearly identical, Creep 2 doesn't feel like a rehash of the first film, but instead finds a new core dynamic that is dark and funny.

You wouldn't think that a niche hobby of collecting plastic candy dispensers would involve an international conspiracy, but this clever and entertaining documentary does just that. Filmmakers Brian Storkel and Amy Bandrien Storkel tell the story of Steve Grew, a humble Michigan collector who ran a temporarily lucrative business illegally importing foreign-made Pets dispensers from Europe in the 1990s.

Grue's battle with the American Pez company makes for an interesting underdog story, and the Stokels portray Grue as himself through skillful reenactments in a variety of film genre styles. He is a compelling and sympathetic oddball, and his account of exploiting loopholes and undermining the greedy "Pezident" company policies is as exciting and satisfying as an actual heist movie.

Because their training was conducted informally by NASA medical expert Dr. Randy Lovelace, these women did not receive their due recognition until decades later.

Producers David Sinton and Heather Walsh make up for it by interviewing surviving participants and the families of participants who are no longer with us, showcasing their formidable abilities and determined personalities. Mercury 13 is a straightforward documentary with interviews and archival footage, but with a true story as compelling as this one, it doesn't need much more flair.
