According to Weibo leaker Setsuna Digital, a new Capture button rumored to be added to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro is causing a stir of change.

The leak states that the button will be placed below the power button, meaning that the mmWave 5G antenna will need to be moved from the right side of the iPhone to the left. While this is unlikely to cause a noticeable change in the user experience, there is always the possibility of further impact. Apple has had problems with antenna placement before.

Also, the "Capture" and "Action" buttons added to the iPhone 15 Pro will be capacitive, rather than physical like the volume and power buttons on the iPhone 15 series. The standard controls remain the familiar physical keys, but the "Action" button appears to be changing to a flush solid state button in just one generation.

While it is rumored to be included on all iPhone 16s, some suspect that this will end up being a feature exclusive to the iPhone 16 Pro. This would be consistent with past trends, such as the fact that the Action Button is currently only on the iPhone 15 Pro and that Dynamic Island was originally an iPhone 14 Pro feature before being introduced on all iPhone 15s.

While it is one of the biggest new features said to be coming to the iPhone 16, we still do not know what exactly the Capture button is for, but from the name, it is related to the camera and will probably function as a shutter button or shortcut to the Camera app It probably functions as a shortcut for the shutter button or the Camera app.

The iPhone 16 series may also get a new telephoto camera lens, and the Pro model may get a larger display. And while it's a little early for a release date leak, we're guessing we'll see the new iPhones next September as planned.
