Quarterback Mack Jones is walking a tightrope for the starting job, as he leads an offense that has scored the second-fewest points per game this season (12 PPG) while posting the fourth-worst passer rating in the league (74.4).

New England's defense is also a work in progress. The Patriots are allowing the ninth highest points per game in the league (25.4 PPG). Takeaways are also difficult for Belichick's defense. They have allowed just three this season, the fewest in the NFL.
