Aussie Alexander "The Great" Volkanovsky held his own in his first meeting with Makhachev after stepping up from his usual featherweight division. Volkanovsky said immediately after the fight that he was having fun.

Saturday's bout gives Volkanovsky, the featherweight champion, a great opportunity to join the ranks of the greats who have simultaneously held UFC titles in different weight classes.
