The early release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 was announced.

Samsung does not want to give the iPhone 15 too much time before the launch of the Galaxy S24. New reports have surfaced that Samsung is planning an early 2024 launch for its next smartphone.

The new report comes from the Seoul Economic Daily and claims that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in early 2024. This is consistent with previous claims that Samsung is eyeing a January 2024 launch for the Galaxy S24 lineup.

Samsung has always released phones in the first three months of the New Year, usually in February or March for the launch of these products. Recently, however, the Galaxy Unpacked event introducing the new Galaxy S models has been moved up a bit on the calendar; the Galaxy S23 debut in 2023 took place on February 1.

If Samsung plans to launch a new model in January, it will have to find a space on the calendar where it does not overlap with other events; CES, a major trade show in 2024, will be held from January 9 to January 12, which Samsung is expected to avoid Samsung is expected to avoid it. In the U.S., the Martin Luther King holiday falls on January 15 next year, which eliminates another potential launch event date. If Samsung is indeed setting its sights on an earlier-than-usual release, the January Galaxy Unpacked would take place later in the month.

The Seoul Economic Daily report drops another piece of information. Samsung is holding its next Unpacked in San Francisco. That is the same city where the Galaxy S23 was announced. Recently, Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 at an event in Korea in August.

The Galaxy S24 lineup is again expected to feature three handset models, although they may run on different chipsets; the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the S24 and S 24 models may feature the Exynos 2400, depending on the market in which they are sold.

The Galaxy S24 model is rumored to have a brighter display, but the biggest improvements remain in the Ultra model. This includes the possibility of a larger sensor on the main camera to improve low-light photography and an upgraded telephoto lens. It is also possible that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the only new Galaxy with a titanium design.

If the rumors about an early release date become reality, we may find out exactly which of the rumored features are true in the inevitable iPhone 15 Pro Max vs. Galaxy S24 Ultra showdown.
