Amazon Freevee Offers Over 1,000 Hours of Free TV Shows and Movies - Here's What's Coming

Amazon Freeve is currently the best free streaming service, and now it just got even better with this update.

In a press release, the BBC and Amazon announced five new free streaming channels that will be available next Tuesday, October 17. Together, these five channels will add over 1,000 hours of free TV shows and movies. Here are the five BBC channels joining Freevee:

Personally, I am looking forward to Hugh Laurie's BBC Comedy and BBC Gameshows. Although some of my favorite game shows from networks like Channel 4 will be missed from this free TV channel, I still get episodes of two of my favorite British game shows The Weakest Link and Never Mind the Buzzcocks Expectations.

Amazon Freevee was already an attractive reason to drop the paid streaming service in favor of the free option. It's available on lots of devices, from the best TVs to the best streaming devices, and has lots of great content. In addition to these new BBC channels, Freevee added 23 new free channels in June (12 MGM channels and 11 Warner Bros. Discovery channels), and already had "Lost," "Desperate Housewives," "Mad Men," and and other hit shows.

One of the biggest reasons to choose Freevee, however, is its stable of interesting and entertaining original programming, including the hilarious "Jury Duty" and "Primo," which debuted earlier this year. This is something that no other free streaming ad-supported television (FAST) network has.

So while the best streaming services are raising their prices, Freevee looks more attractive than ever. Hopefully, they will further develop this great content library and add BBC content soon. Personally, I would love to see Season 1 of The Good Omens, an Amazon/BBC co-production, added to Freevee in the near future."
