Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Benchmark Leaked - There's Good News and Bad News

More benchmark tests have been conducted on Samsung's Galaxy S24, with leaker Ice Universe and tech site Notebookcheck sharing the alleged results of the Galaxy S24 with the Exynos 2400 chipset and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. They share the alleged results of the Ultra model with the Exynos 2400 chipset.

The Exynos version's single-core score of 2,067, multi-core of 6,520, and Snapdragon's 2,890 and 7,194 are quite impressive, beating the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 results for the Galaxy S23 Plus with Galaxy. However, the iPhone 15 Pro and its A17 Pro still lead, and Apple seems poised to continue leading in smartphone performance.

Compared to previously leaked Geekbench results for the Exynos 2400 chip and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the improved scores are good news. However, the Snapdragon numbers are still higher than the Exynos numbers, suggesting that the upcoming Samsung Snapdragon version is still superior.

Another point of concern is that all of these tests were conducted on phones with 8GB of RAM. This is on the low side for a flagship phone, consistent with what the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus currently offer, but not the 12GB promised as standard by some sources.

Exynos silicon was rumored to be returning to Galaxy S phones after the Galaxy S23 series made the unprecedented move to use Snapdragon chips worldwide. Some sources expect Samsung to return to the old system of different chips in different regions, but it is said that Samsung will do things differently again.

Some rumors suggest that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature an enhanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 wherever it is purchased in the world (and possibly the Plus version), while the base model will feature an Exynos 2400.

The truth of this strange chipset situation will not be known until next year, when the Galaxy S24 series is scheduled to launch in February. However, some rumors suggest that Samsung may move up the launch to January.

Notable features in the new Galaxy S24 models include a brighter display, titanium side rails, and a Galaxy S24 Ultra with a lower zoom level but higher camera resolution.
