When will Taylor Swift? When will the movie The Eras Tour be available for streaming? Here's what we know

Taylor Swift's Total Conquest of The Eras Tour is Released This Week as a Movie Aptly Titled Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert movie will be released this week. Filmed over three nights as Swift played six sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the film is the ultimate celebration of the biggest pop star on the planet (sorry, Beyoncé).

Swiffies will be flocking to the cinema on opening night, October 12, but there are several advantages to streaming "The Eras Tour" film at home. First, you can avoid the screaming crowds and enjoy the three-hour show from the comfort of your couch at home. Furthermore, you can rewind and rewatch your favorite songs at will.

Although Taylor Swift employed a theater-only strategy for the film's initial rollout, it will eventually make its way online, or at least into one of the best streaming services. So here's everything we know now about when Taylor Swift will be available for streaming: The Eras Tour online.

Taylor Swift has partnered with AMC Theaters to bring The Eras Tour concert to movie theaters exclusively starting today (Thursday, October 12). However, the concert movie will not be available online on this date through subscription streaming services or digital platforms such as Amazon and Apple.

Curiously, "The Eras Tour" will only be shown in movie theaters on weekends, and there are currently no screening times from Monday through Thursday. At this time, the film is set to be shown through the weekend of Friday, November 3: The Eras Tour will not be available online until after Sunday, November 5. However, we do not expect it to be available for streaming at this time either.

Swift herself will also be performing on the Eras Tour at the Estadio Olimpico Nilton Santos Stadium in Brazil from November 17-19. And she could give us an exact hint during these performances as to when the Eras tour movies will be available for streaming at home.

After all, she has a track record of making long-awaited announcements at Eras tour shows: 1989 (Taylor's version) was officially announced at her final Los Angeles show in August. So an onstage announcement is likely.

However, based on presale data, it seems likely that the theatrical release of "The Eras Tour" will be delayed until early November or later, as it seems certain to be a box-office hit. Therefore, it is likely that "The Eras Tour" will be released after early November: "The Eras Tour" will be available online sometime in 2024; it may be released in conjunction with a visit to Japan in early February; and it is likely that "The Eras Tour" will be released in early November.

We suspect that the Taylor Swift film will be the first to be released: the video for "The Eras Tour" will first appear on digital services before eventually migrating to major streaming services. Which is quite difficult to pinpoint, as Taylor Swift broke new ground by bypassing the major studios and instead partnering directly with AMC to distribute the concert film.

This probably means that when "The Eras Tour" is ready to debut on streaming services, a fierce bidding war is likely to break out, as every service will want to be where the film makes its streaming debut.

Swift also has a track record of working with various streaming services during her career: the 1989 World Tour movie was exclusively available on Apple Music (Apple TV Plus had not yet launched at the time), but the same streaming on the platform is no longer available. Next, the Reputation Tour movie was released on Netflix in 2018, followed in early 2020 by a behind-the-scenes documentary about her peak years, Miss Americana.

That same year, Swift also produced a documentary for Disney Plus, Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. This played all the songs from her Grammy-winning album in an imitative setting while providing insight into its production.

So, in summary, it appears that Taylor Swift has had, or at least has had, relationships with various streaming services over the years, and The Eras Tour is likely to appear on one of them when it is finally made available online. For now, if you really want to see Taylor Swift, see The Eras Tour as soon as possible: If you want to see The Eras Tour as soon as possible, you'll need to visit your local movie theater this month.
