Top 11 New Movies Available This Week on Prime Video, Hulu and More (Oct. 10-16)

Of the new films available this week on Prime Video, Hulu, and other streaming services, Mission is not so impossible. Some of the films are available at premium prices due to their new digital releases, while for others, all you need is the right streaming subscription.

One of the summer's biggest theatrical films, "Mission: Mission: Impossible/Dead Reckoning Part 1," is finally available for streaming. Tom Cruise, as always, is on top of his stunts, and PVOD is also offering another action-packed new release, "The Expendables 4," so you can enjoy the action heroes of the 80s.

A sultry comedy, an Internet horror thriller, and a legal drama have also been added to the mix, so there's something for everyone on movie night. Here are the top new movies streaming this week.

If you want to be thoroughly creeped out for Halloween, The Mill is the only way to go. This thriller begins with a businessman (Lil Lil Howery) waking up in a strange concrete prison. Soon it becomes clear that he must find a way to escape, as an unseen voice tells him that he must do physical labor to stay alive. The situation is further complicated by the fact that his wife is pregnant and he is in a race against time to gain his freedom before the birth. - Rory Mellon"

An outrageous and brazen comedy about repressed sexuality. Alienated by his ex-wife and sons, he decides to live his new life to the fullest by hiring a prostitute to give him erotic massages. Cameron (Lucas Gage), a free-spirited and openly gay man, sees how inexperienced his client is and decides to teach him the queer life, and their journey begins with a friendship app and quickly evolves into a wild night involving nosy neighbors, threesomes and the dark web.

The immigrant experience comes alive in this portrait of a lonely young Afghan refugee adrift in Fremont, California. Donya (Anaita Wali Zada) is a former interpreter for the U.S. Army in Afghanistan who now writes fortunes in a fortune cookie factory. She splits her time between work and sessions with an eccentric therapist (Greg Tarkington). Although Doña has some bright spots, such as a budding romantic interest (Jeremy Allen White), she spends sleepless nights plagued by survivor's guilt over the people left behind in Kabul.

Tom Cruise saved the theater experience with his jet-setting adrenaline shot "Top Gun: Maverick. While he hasn't quite pulled off the same feat with "Dead Man's Gut" (directed by Barbie and Oppenheimer), Cruise is still a movie star who puts on a good show. In this latest stunt-packed epic, super spy Ethan Hunt is tasked with a new mission. In the wrong hands, the Entity could destroy the world. Fortunately, Ethan and his team Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames), and Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) are on the case.

Judy Blume's novels have been the mainstay of youth for at least three generations thanks to their humorous, refreshing and frank coming-of-age stories. In the film, Abby Ryder Fortson plays 11-year-old Margaret. She is moving from her home in New York City to suburban New Jersey. Margaret is troubled by the separation from her friends and begins to talk to God about her fears, hopes, and dreams. To adjust to her new school and surroundings, Margaret turns to her mother Barbara (Rachel McAdams) and grandmother Sylvia (Kathy Bates).

The famous and iconic artist Salvador Dali has been portrayed on screen many times before. Ben Kingsley is the latest actor to take on the Surrealist painter, focusing on Dali's later years and his marriage to his wife Gala (Barbara Sukowa). set in New York and Spain in 1974, the film is set from the perspective of James ( Christopher Briney), a young assistant determined to make a name for himself in the art world. While helping the capricious artist prepare for a major exhibition, James witnesses the relationship between Dali and Gala begin to fracture.

Jamie Foxx seems to be on a roll in this courtroom drama based on a true story. Willie E. Gary is a charismatic, well-spoken lawyer who sees litigation as war. Willie is hired by bankrupt funeral home owner Jeremiah O'Keefe (Tommy Lee Jones) to sue his rival in a failed handshake deal. The other side of the lawsuit considers Willie a "clown," but he has yet to lose a case.

Harvest and Halloween are not a time of celebration in the cursed town, but rather a brutal battle for survival In the fall of 1963, the Sawtooth Jack of terrifying legend rises from the cornfields and heads into town for the slaughter to the town for the slaughter. Jack's path is blocked by a group of 18-year-old boys who are determined to defeat the murderous scarecrow before midnight. Even the rebellious and outcast Richie (Casey Raikes) joins in, inspired by his brother's victory the year before. Buzzfeed is not only the origin of many internet quizzes, personality tests, and meme tabulations, but is now the inspiration for horror films. The story is based on a viral Twitter thread posted by Adam Ellis in 2017. For the film adaptation, Adam (Augustus Prew) is a writer for Buzzfeed who uses light-hearted cartoons to explain his content. An online discussion with a reader leads Adam to encounter a ghoulish phenomenon that he believes was caused by the ghost of a child named David. When his boss (Justin Long) urges him to tweet about it, Adam begins to lose track of what is real.

Nearly a decade after The Expendables 3, the sequel is finally here and the elite mercenaries played by Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture return. Newcomers Megan Fox, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and Andy Garcia join them for some big, dumb action. Their mission is to stop the nefarious arms dealer Rahmat (Iko Uwais) from acquiring a nuclear detonator that could trigger World War III. Twists and turns lie ahead for the Expendables, but nothing a few bazookas can't handle.

At only 31 minutes in length, "Camp Courage" is technically a short film rather than a traditional feature film, but don't be put off by its short length. This moving documentary follows Mirana, a Ukrainian refugee, and her grandmother Olga as they flee the chaos of the Russian-Ukrainian war and find sanctuary in an unconventional summer camp in the Alps. Directed by Max Lowe, this documentary explores courage in all its forms and follows Milana and Olga as they confront the worst of their situation with compassion and kindness. - Rory Mellon
