Samsung Galaxy S24 May Not Be a Titanium Phone After All

Samsung's entire Galaxy S24 series will not be covered in titanium as previous rumors have suggested, says noted leaker Ice Universe.

He adds that the basic Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will likely use an aluminum alloy that appears to be Samsung's "Armor Aluminum" like previous Galaxy S phones.

This goes against an earlier story from fellow leaker Revegnus, who claimed that all Galaxy S24s would use a titanium frame; IU commented at the time that he did not believe the story was correct, but now seems to have further confirmation from his sources to support it.

Smart Fossil.

In the smartphone world, the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are getting a boost from the titanium side rails, while the cheaper iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are sticking with aluminum. While it would make sense for Samsung to take a similar approach with its own next-generation phones, the prospect of even the least expensive Galaxy S24 using such a luxurious material is exciting.

Disagreements among leakers like this one are not that common, so it can be difficult to determine who is telling the right story, who is telling a half-truth (intentionally or not), or who is completely misinformed. As far as we can see, there are no other leakers supporting Revegnus' claims, and other informants like RGcloudS have joined in to add more details; unless Revegnus posts further evidence or another leak corroborates their claims, the IU's look stronger at the moment It is.

Another way to get past this is to just wait for the phone to launch. Fortunately, Samsung usually releases a new Galaxy S model at the beginning of each year, so we won't have to wait that long. Usually that means a February launch, but there are rumors that Samsung is aiming for a January 2024 launch in order to compete with the iPhone 15 and Google Pixel 8 as quickly as possible.

Not only will at least one of the three rumored Galaxy S24 models feature a titanium frame, but also more RAM, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Exynos 2400 chip depending on the model and region selected, higher mega pixels, a lower magnification telephoto camera, and other updates.
