New on Netflix: 7 Shows and Movies to Watch This Week (Oct. 9-15)

It's time to check out another new Netflix release this week. This time, we present "The Fall of the House of Usher," directed by Mike Flanagan. As the children of the Usher family die mysterious deaths one by one, a mysterious figure rises up to take revenge. This Gothic horror miniseries is an intriguing new take on the classic Poe tale.

Also check out Big Vape: "The Rise and Fall of Juul," based on R.J. Cutler's book, should shed light on the controversy behind the giant vape company that went from hero to zero in record time.

Also new to Netflix's lineup this week is "Good Night World. The new animated series focuses on four players of a video game called "The Planet," who will eventually unlock life-changing secrets about the "reality" they've been stuck in for a while. There is also the documentary Camp Courage, which follows Ukrainian refugee Mirana and her grandmother as they take refuge in a summer camp in the Alps.

If you need a laugh or a low-key drama, channel Stranded with My Mother-In-Law. The film invites several couples to a paradise-like setting, where they are forced to live with their stepmothers and work out their problems.

"Stranded With My Mother-in-Law," hosted by Fernanda Souza, takes a couple to a literal paradise and forces them to complete a series of challenges to win a large cash prize. There's just one problem: The couple has to be able to complete the entire course in order to win the large cash prize. No, as you can probably already guess, some couples really don't get along with their in-laws. If they want the cash, they have to put up with it for the sake of their families. Even if it means gritting your teeth and dealing with all the nitpicking, nagging, and potential sarcasm that seems like it might come from spending time with your mother-in-law. And who knows? Maybe a better relationship will result.

Based on the book of the same name by Mats Strandberg, this slasher comedy is a fun-filled, funny, and funny film that will be available on Netflix from October 13th.
