One area where Mahomes has been more active than usual is running the football. He has 103 rushing yards on 16 carries this season. That puts him on pace to break his career high of 185 yards.

The Jets' pass defense is not to be underestimated, so their scrambling ability could come in handy. Defensive backs Sauce Gardner, D.J. Reed and Michael Carter all have passer ratings below 90 when targeted by opposing quarterbacks. Safety Jordan Whitehead still has the league's top share with three interceptions, all coming in Week 1 against the Bills.

But the other side of the football is getting most of the coverage. Quarterback Zach Wilson has struggled, to say the least, since being given just four snaps to start the season after four-time MVP and future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers left with a torn Achilles tendon. Wilson leads an offense that ranks last in the league in both scoring and yards and has the league's worst passer rating (57). The Jets (1-2) suffered their latest loss of the season last week, a 15-10 defeat to the Patriots.

Draft Kings has the Chiefs as a big 8.5-point road favorite against the Jets. The over/under is 41.5.
