Halloween is right around the corner. Get in the mood for the spooky season with this found footage cult classic, as three filmmakers travel deep into the woods of Burkittsville to document the legend of the Blair Witch. Heather (Heather Donahue), Mike (Michael Williams), and Joshua (Joshua Leonard) encounter disturbing rituals, cryptic signs, and other eerie finds. Tensions mount and they get lost in the woods, tormented by demonic sights and visions. When they come upon an abandoned house, their quest takes a dark turn, setting the stage for one of the most terrifying and potentially confusing endings in horror history.

There are multiple sequels to this 90s classic, but the original is still the best. Jurassic Park is a theme park filled with dinosaurs cloned from ancient DNA. Paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) go on a tour of the park and are stunned by the living dinosaurs roaming the island. But when park security gets sloppy, ancient predators are unleashed and their dream of seeing real dinosaurs turns into a harrowing game of survival. Thunderstorms strike, systems fail, and raptors are suddenly on the loose. Those in the park must figure out a way to escape safely before they end up in the jaws of the ferocious dinosaurs that roam the island. If that doesn't sound interesting, you'll have to watch it just for Jeff Goldblum, who plays the iconic Dr. Ian Malcolm.

It's always a good time for an action movie: it's 1988 and Manhattan has turned into a giant prison. Crime is rampant; seven years later, President John Harker (Donald Pleasence) lands in the middle of it after a plane crash. He is held hostage by the Duke of New York (Isaac Hayes) and his partner Romero (Frank Doubleday). Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell), a former Special Forces rebel, accepts the assignment after being threatened to infiltrate the city's underground. Snake soon finds himself in a race against time and against a new enemy. Fans of the "Metal Gear" series of games will love this classic even more.
