iPhone 15 Pro users report display and frame alignment problems.

Launch day headaches are inevitable for even the best smartphone makers like Apple, and the iPhone 15 series is no different. After Friday's launch, it was discovered that the iPhone 15 Pro's new titanium frame discolors with fingerprints. Now, some iPhone 15 Pro users are reporting alignment issues between the phone's display and frame edges.

Prominent leaker MajinBuOfficial shared a photo of the problem on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday; in addition to the iPhone 15 Pro's coloring not being applied evenly, "the screen does not appear to be perfectly aligned with the edges," they said. The photos shared show that the screen protrudes slightly from the frame.

In a follow-up tweet, MajinBuOfficial said unnamed sources at Apple's manufacturer Foxconn warned that "expect to see a lot of defective products in the first batch (of iPhone 15 Pro)."

The problem appears to be serious enough to require replacement by Apple. As of now, Apple has yet to comment on what users should do if their phone has a misalignment defect, or on the possibility of replacing any devices.

Regarding the color change issue, Apple has already responded and stated that any change should be temporary; according to the latest support documentation on cleaning the iPhone, "Wipe the iPhone with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth" to restore the original color This can be done. This issue only affects the metal band that surrounds the outside of the iPhone. This is because that is the only physical contact between the titanium casing and your finger.

To prevent the iPhone from discoloring in the first place (and to protect it from cracks and scratches), consider investing in one of the best iPhone 15 Pro Max cases. That way, you won't have to worry about unsightly fingerprints on the edges of your phone.
