iPhone 15 Pro Max faces serious delays - and much more popular than iPhone 15 Pro

If you are thinking of buying the iPhone 15 Pro Max, you may already know that this model is facing delays. The iPhone 15, on the other hand, still appears to be available on launch day. Why? Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo blames production problems he has spent the past few months warning people about.

Kuo reports on the first weekend of iPhone 15 pre-orders, and apparently the iPhone 15 Pro Max is selling quite well so far, despite the $100 price increase, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is still selling at a price of $399, which is a lot more than the iPhone 15 Pro Max sold for.

However, demand is not the only thing affecting iPhone 15 Pro Max wait times; Kuo has been very vocal about production issues that are allegedly affecting the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Specifically, thanks to mass production starting later than usual and "more pronounced" production challenges compared to other iPhone 15s. There have been rumors of such delays before regarding the camera, particularly the terra prismatic telephoto lens that extends the phone's optical zoom capabilities.

The iPhone 15 Pro was also said to be facing delays thanks to its display, but things may have changed between now and July. iPhone 15 Pro delivery dates have been pushed back a bit, but it looks like we will have to wait two to three weeks.

However, the problems Apple has had are said to be affecting the Pro Max models as well, and all of these potential problems could be stacking up.

Kuo also claims that demand for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus is "about the same as last year"; according to Kuo, demand for the iPhone 15 Pro is also slower than the iPhone 14 Pro. Apparently, this is due to "more premium users shifting to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. If deliveries of the iPhone 15 Pro Max are further delayed, though, sales may pick up.

Currently, the natural and white Titanium Pro Max models are the most affected by the delay, estimated at 6 to 7 weeks for all storage configurations at the time of writing. Meanwhile, the black and blue titanium models have been delayed to 3-4 weeks. If you are eager to get your hands on a Pro Max right away and don't care about color, these two would be your best options.

Last year, delays for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max were extended from the holidays into the New Year. It is unclear what will happen this year, but it goes without saying that if you want the iPhone 15 Pro Max right away, you should place your order as soon as possible.
