iPhone 15 - This is every iPhone that Apple is discontinuing

At Apple's Wanderlust event, the company unveiled the new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the latter featuring a new 48MP camera, A17 Pro chip, and a new titanium case.

But the company is also retiring some older phones that are relatively new, and a couple others that have been hanging around a bit longer. If you're looking for a good deal on a slightly older phone, you may still be able to get some of these at a discount.

Here's one that goes to the great tech pile in the sky:

Apple's top-of-the-line iPhone 14 Pro Max, which was just released last year, has a 48MP camera, a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a large 6.7-inch display. The camera is powered by the A16 Bionic chip and also introduces a dynamic island, a resizable area at the top of the screen that has replaced the notch on previous iPhones.

A slightly smaller version of the Pro Max, the iPhone 14 Pro, also featured the A16 chip, but had a smaller 6.1-inch display and did not have the large battery of the Pro version. As a result, it lasted about three hours less in Tom's Guide battery tests.

Sadly, this seems to be the end of Apple's small hand smartphones. iPhone 13 mini topped our list of best small smartphones: with a display of only 5.4 inches, it had the same processor as its contemporaries (the A15 chip) that was top of the line. It also had two 12MP cameras on the back for video and photos. It also had a battery life of 8 minutes 41 seconds, which was reasonable for its size.

The iPhone SE 2022 still remains, but has a more outdated design with thick bezels at the top and bottom of the screen.

With the base model iPhone 13 remaining in Apple's lineup and the price dropping to $599, there is no reason to keep the iPhone 12 as Apple's budget large-screen phone. iPhone 12 has an A14 Bionic chip and is 6.1 inches, 2532x1170 OLED display. However, battery life was not great, lasting only 8 hours 25 minutes at 5G. iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max had long since been retired, so it was the last remaining model of its generation.
