New Diablo 4 Patch Available This Week - Here's Everything You Need to Know

With "Diablo IV" Season 1 slowly winding down and Season 2 not appearing until mid-October, fans may be wondering what Blizzard has planned for its best-selling dungeon-exploration action RPG in the meantime. This week Blizzard announced a new patch that will make it easier for players to grind to level 100 by the next season.

Update 1.1.4 will be released on September 12 and will feature several incremental updates, bug fixes, and other tweaks. Most importantly, an XP buff will be added to the season blessing of the Urn of Invasion, increasing the experience gained from killing monsters from 8% to 20%, Blizzard explained all of this in the patch notes for this week's update, and this increase in XP gained will be implemented before Season 2 begins on October 17 They explained that it should help players reach level 100 a little faster.

"To make the Season Blessing more impactful and help players reach level 100 a little faster, we have increased the total experience bonus for the invasion jar," the developer note included in the patch notes reads.

Season Blessing is a new mechanism in Diablo IV introduced in Season 1 that gives players bonuses for completing certain objectives. These boosts range from very useful (like the "bargaining pot" which increases the gold gained from selling items) to almost useless (like the "reclamation pot" which increases the odds of finding rare salvage). One of the most useful blessings is the "invasion jar," which increases the experience gained from killing monsters and makes it a little less difficult to maximize a character's level.

This latest update also fixes some of Diablo 4's side quests and some issues with the game's screen reader. For a full list of bug fixes, read below.
