"Say hello to my little friend." [Brian De Palma's epic film about the rise and fall of Cuban immigrant-turned-Miami drug lord Tony Montana has become one of the greatest crime films of all time and is highly acclaimed in a lineup that includes films by Francis Ford Coppola, Quentin Tarantino, and Martin Scorsese.

"The most important time in life is the time you spend with your friends." [Stand By Me] is the quintessential coming-of-age story about four 12-year-old boys, played by Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O'Connell, who embark on a journey to find the body of Ray Brower, a missing boy rumored to have been hit by a train The film is based on the novel of the same name. While the film's main plot deals with what happened to Bower, the film also explores themes of loss, family dynamics, and identity.

"Taxi Driver," considered Martin Scorsese's best film, stars Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle, a Vietnam War veteran and cab driver obsessed with the idea of cleaning up New York and ridding the city of what he perceives as a pervasive moral decay. The film is a great example of this. Bickle also becomes obsessed with a local political activist, and when she rejects him, he falls into a state of paranoia and obsession.

Robert De Niro's strong performance, coupled with Martin Scorsese's direction, made the film one of the most acclaimed films of all time and cemented its status as a cinema classic. While not an easy film to watch, Taxi Driver's examination of the psychological toll of loneliness and alienation will resonate with audiences more than 50 years after its release and continue to influence generations to come.

"You're gonna need a bigger boat"

Steven Spielberg's "Jaws," the first summer blockbuster in history, gave an entire generation the fear of the seaside. The film revolves around the residents of the coastal town of Amity Island, who are threatened by a great white shark with a taste for human flesh. The plot follows Chief Martin Brody, played by Roy Scheider, as he attempts to eliminate the shark threat by closing the beaches. However, Mayor Larry Vaughn, played by Murray Hamilton, opposes the idea, despite the increased death toll, since the town relies heavily on summer tourism.

The film's suspenseful storytelling, incredible camerawork, and groundbreaking special effects (especially the use of a mechanical shark nicknamed "Bruce") became legendary, and John William's iconic "Jaws" theme became one of the most well-known songs in history
