"The Good Nurse" is a quiet but captivating crime thriller about a man accused of killing numerous patients in a hospital. But it does not begin that way. The film begins by focusing on Jessica Chastain, who plays Amy Lauren, a nurse with a serious heart condition awaiting a transplant. She gets the help she needs during her shift from Charles Cullen, a new employee at the hospital, played by Eddie Redmayne.

Parallel to this disturbance, an elderly patient dies unexpectedly and the hospital launches an investigation. When the two detectives arrive on the scene, they focus their attention on Cullen, whose behavior that night has become problematic. However, the detectives are unable to find any evidence to prove that he is involved in the ever-increasing number of hospital deaths. The truth comes out when Lauren becomes involved in the case. "Informer" is a gritty crime thriller starring Joel Kinnaman as Pete Koslow, a former Special Operations soldier and ex-convict. Because of his ties to the Polish Mafia, the FBI infiltrates him into a top-secret prison in order to expose the identity of the crime boss, "The General," played by Eugene Lipinski. In return, he is granted early release.

Everything goes off plan when the undercover agent is killed and Koslow's family is threatened. He is placed in a precarious situation between the Mafia and the FBI, not knowing who to trust. The film's stellar cast complements Kinnaman's excellent performance. Rosamund Pike plays Wilcox, Koslow's FBI associate; Common plays Detective Glenns, who investigates the death of an undercover agent; Clive Owen plays the corrupt Montgomery; and Anna de Armas plays Sofia, Koslow's wife. It is a harrowing film.
