According to Korean leaker Yeux1122, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could see some major design changes that could affect future Samsung phones, including the Samsung Galaxy S25.

First, the report confirms prior reports that both the external and internal screens of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be larger. There is no indication as to exactly how large the new screens will be, or whether other aspects such as brightness and resolution will change.

We had complained about the minimal changes between the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 cover displays, so the increase in screen size represents a step in the right direction. We just hope the phone doesn't feel unwieldy, especially when closed.

Aside from the larger screen, the blog also reports that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will use the same design code as the Galaxy S25 and later series. This means, among other things, that the bezels around the display will be smaller, and the screen will take up even more of the phone's face. The blog also claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will also see these design changes.

Finally, Samsung is reportedly aiming to make the Galaxy Z Fold 6 lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Given the larger panel, this weight reduction is surprising and raises questions about how rugged the phone will be. However, the OnePlus Open is lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and has a larger cover and main display.

There is no information in the leaked information about the inclusion of an S Pen. The larger screen size would certainly make drawing and writing with a stylus on the Z Fold more fun, but that would not necessarily be consistent with yeux1122's claims.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has been the subject of a fair amount of speculation lately, from rumors of an official dustproof rating to the possibility of no camera upgrade.

We will know more for sure once the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is released, probably in the summer of 2024. However, we will likely have to wait until 2025 to see how similar the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 designs are.
