This month brings a slew of new shows and movies from Peacock. First, Peacock brings back fan-favorite detective Adrian Monk for a movie sequel to the classic USA show, The Last Case of Mr. Monk: The Last Case of Monk: A Monk Movie, which will solve the final case involving Molly, the daughter-in-law of a journalist about to be married.

The new season of the deadly medical series "Doctor Death" also begins. And Peacock sends the cast of The Real Housewives on a tropical vacation to St. Barts in the latest edition of "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip," dubbed "RHONY Legacy."

Peacock is streaming theatrical releases from sister studio Universal Pictures, this month premiering the horror prequel "The Exorcist: Believer": this month. Also, thanks to a partnership between Peacock and Hallmark, a number of new Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel will be streamed on Peacock immediately after their telecasts; December's new Peacock releases include.

Adrian Monk, a methodical private detective played by Tony Shalhoub, is the sequel to a series that ran for eight seasons beginning in 2002 and is riding the current TV revival craze. The same USA "blue sky" era crime investigation drama Psycho has had great success with three Peacock original movies so far, and Monk is expected to follow in its footsteps. Shalhoub is not the only returning cast member: his co-stars Ted Levine, Jason Gray-Stanford, Traylor Howard, Melora Hardin, and Hector Elizondo are also returning for Monk's return from retirement.

Monk resumes his career as a detective to investigate a murder involving his daughter-in-law Molly, who is about to be married. Series creator Andy Blechman continues to helm the film as writer and executive producer, bringing the best of the nervous Monk to the world.

Premieres December 8 on Peacock

Some of Saturday Night Live's funniest and most famous skits have celebrated the holiday season. The iconic comedy series celebrates the occasion with a collection of Christmas-themed skits from its nearly 50-year history. Fan-favorite characters such as Rachel Dratch's Debbie Downer, Kate McKinnon's Colleen Rafferty, and Bobby Moynihan's drunk uncle have all made Christmas-related appearances.

Classic SNL musical numbers like Adam Sandler's "The Chanukah Song" and Lonely Island's "Dick in a Box" will almost certainly be included. There is also a good chance that we will see Alec Baldwin talking about his "Schweddy balls." Still, there is still room for new additions, and a recent SNL sketch would fit right in with the holiday staples. It's a pleasant comedic tradition worth revisiting every year.

Premiered December 15 on Peacock

The fact that so many real-life cases have been adapted for multiple seasons on the show "Doctor Death" may not be a positive reflection of human nature, but it provides a fascinating true-crime story. The second season of this anthology series, which grew out of the podcast Wondery, will feature a new medical malpractice case.

Edgar Ramirez stars as Paolo Macchiarini, a Swiss-Italian surgeon who appears to have a breakthrough technique for implanting artificial organs, but is revealed to be a fraud when his patient is found dead. Mandy Moore co-stars as a journalist who becomes personally involved while covering Macchiarini's work and begins to suspect that he may not be as sincere as he appears. The eight-episode season will be supplemented by the documentary Dr. Death: Cutthroat Conman, which will be released the same day.
