Mystery of the iPhone Bug: Why does this user's iPhone alarm go off at the same time every day?

Sometimes an iPhone bug affects a wide area. Other times, an iPhone bug appears that wreaks havoc on the life of some unfortunate person. The new glitch that appeared in a recent TikTok video appears to be the latter.

Angele Sofia says in a recently released TikTok video that her iPhone alarm mysteriously goes off at exactly 9:25 AM local time every day. According to the UK-based TikTokker, the problem started "out of the blue" four or five years ago, and since then her iPhone alarm has always gone off at the same time.

"And I don't set my alarm for 9:25 and I never set my alarm for 9:25," Sofia said in a TikTok video that has nearly 800,000 views.

Sofia was quick to point out that tapping the notification when the alarm goes off does not show the alarm for that time. Even stranger, instead of continuing to ring until the user turns off the alarm or snoozes it, like a typical iPhone alarm, the alarm only rings once and stops.

But there is something even stranger. Sofia reported that she bought a new iPhone and had the same problem with that device. And the problem persisted even after deleting apps that might set off the iPhone's alarm, such as the calendar and clock. After Sophia gave up on Apple, she finally turned to TikTok. She took her device to an Apple store for repairs, but "none of the Apple employees seem to be able to fix it"

.

In an attempt to help, many TikTok users offered solutions such as adding and removing the 9:25 AM alarm and removing the sleep schedule in the Health app. Others thought they might have mistakenly set calendar events as alarms and repeated them daily. Sofia promised to try all the solutions and report back; in a second video with nearly a million views, she said none of the suggestions worked.

Given that the problem spans multiple phones, it seems that there is something (perhaps in Sofia's iCloud) that is causing problems across devices. However, it is unclear what exactly the problem is. If Apple can't help, we don't know what will ultimately solve these annoying glitches.
