The 6 best Trailers from Nintendo's 7th Direct - Metroid Prime 4, Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood and More

The 6 best Trailers from Nintendo's 7th Direct - Metroid Prime 4, Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood and More

Despite rumors and explicit denials, some thought Nintendo would show off Switch6 during Nintendo Direct on today's May 2.

They didn't do that of course, but instead the company showed a number of fun-looking games over 40 minutes, with most coming out in the coming months, which included a new Zelda game and an amazing teaser for the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4.

The company announced 31 games, and 1 new special edition console. We went through and picked 7 trailers that stuck out to us.

These aren't the only ones we're excited about from what Nintendo has shown, but they've jumped to the top of the list of games we expect to be on the best Nintendo Switch games list.

For the first time in nearly 10 years, Mario and Luigi have been sharing game titles with Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood. The last one was Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, which was released on Nintendo 3DS in 2015.

The latest iteration looks fun and involves a worldwide sibling platform of Concordia traveling on an island/boat called Shipshape Island, fighting electric enemies across various environments.

This is the 11th entry in the series, arriving on 7/6.

Based on other recent trailers that dropped, I might be a sucker for the watercolor palette. MIO: Memories in Orbit looks absolutely gorgeous, and its sci-fi look is almost inspired by Jeff Lemire's Ascender comic.

No more information has been released, but it looks like a platformer and will appear in 2025.

This was a big surprise, but Square Enix is releasing the first 3 remakes of the Dragon Quest game. The first to come out is Dragon Quest III, but the first and 2nd entries in the series will come later.

The remake looks very Octopusic traveler and I think it's enough to draw fans of the original. The next iteration of the series Dragon Quest XII: Flame of Destiny is announced in 2021 and faces a lot of delays.

I'm Professed Luigi Stan and he loves any game to get out of the shadow of his brother.

Luigi's Mansion 3 was released in 2018, but a lot of people may have wanted to play Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, which was only for 3DS. Luigi's Mansion 2 Remake is an updated version of Dark Moon with improved graphics and more.

1 Marvel vs. Capcom game in 7 Glorious packages. I have long felt that Capcom should push all the characters we featured in the Marvel vs Capcom game into the ultimate huge roster of Super Smash Bros.

The best game in the Seven Games collection should be Marvel vs Capcom 2. But this is the first time any of these titles can be played on the latest hardware.

This goes back to my days playing Marvel vs Capcom 2 on the bowling alley while my father was in the league. It's a good time

I'm excited about Zelda's announcement, but the Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom One's by being the first Zelda game featuring Zelda himself as a hero

and it's coming soon on 9/26. I enjoyed the art style of the Awakening remake of Link and Zelda following that style is great news.

The fourth iteration of the first-person Metroid Prime series was announced all the way back in 2017. It quickly became a version of Nintendo's Half-Life3.

We don't expect Metroid Prime 4 to come out until 2025. Part of the delay comes from Nintendo restarting development and moving the game to Retro Studios, the original developer of the series.
