Taylor Swift releases new song Love Story (Taylor's Version) – Streaming Method

Taylor Swift's fearless attempt to reclaim her iconic catalog begins with her new song "Love Story (Taylor's Version)." Yes, Swift's proclamation to remake her first five albums has finally actually come to fruition. And the complete re-recording of her first album, entitled "Fearless (Taylor's Version)," will be released on April 9.

For those who don't know, Swift had a very public feud over her first six albums. The original recordings were purchased from her former record label, Big Machine, by industry mogul Scooter Braun's company Ithaca Holdings. (Ithaca later sold it to investment fund Shamrock Capital.)

Swift revealed a history of "constant, manipulative bullying" by Brown and his associates, including Kanye West and Justin Bieber (in her Tumblr post documenting the struggle (as seen in the photo shared).

This means that whenever someone uses music from these albums, the person who owns the original recordings benefits (although Swift gets a cut as a songwriter).

However, Swift could legally begin re-recording new masters of the first five albums as of November 2020. And despite releasing two brand new albums last year, Folklore and Evermore, she jumped on the project.

For those counting at home, Swift is not allowed to re-record Reputation until five years after its release in 2017, for contractual reasons.

In an Instagram post announcing the re-recorded version of Fearless, Swift included a small Easter egg note. All capitalized together, it reads "APRIL NINTH."

Swift's Instagram caption stated that Fearless (Taylor's Version) would contain a total of 26 songs, "including 6 previously unreleased songs from the vaults."

This is only the latest in a series of albums following the 2020 albums "Folklore" and "Evermore," proving that Swift has done more productive pandemics than anyone else.

CDs and vinyl of "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" are available for pre-order at store.taylorswift.com, from Parker to the pop sockets on the album cover.
